Graduate Program: The Clinical Doctor in Physical Therapy (DPT)

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Clarkson is an intensive, hands-on immersion in the science and practice of modern physical therapy. A successful physical therapist must be not only highly knowledgeable, but also a skilled clinician, active listener and experienced researcher. That’s why Clarkson’s graduate program in physical therapy is grounded in Problem-Based Learning (PBL), a method by which every new concept is reinforced by a real-world interaction: small-group exercises, mock clinics and real patient examinations.

Internships & Job Placement
During the three-year Doctor of Physical Therapy program, you’ll participate in four separate clinical internships. Each will expose you to a different aspect of physical therapy and a different clinical environment: large hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers and home care.

The result of all of this real-world experience is that Clarkson DPT graduates enjoy a 100% job placement rate within months of passing their licensing exams.

Our Location
The DPT program is housed in Clarkson Hall on Clarkson’s downtown campus.
