Clarkson Fund Co-Chairs
Eric Dibble ’81 and Amy Castronova ’04 to serve as new Clarkson Fund Co-Chairs
Eric Dibble, Class of 1981, and Amy Castronova, Class of 2004, will serve as the new Co-Chairs of the Clarkson Fund. In their roles, Dibble and Castronova will work with the University to develop new strategies to increase alumni participation and unrestricted gifts raised in support of the Clarkson Fund.
Dibble, who will serve as the liaison between the Alumni Council and the Clarkson Fund, has been an active member of the Alumni Association for many years. He has served as a regional phonathon volunteer, class reunion activities chair, Board of Governors, reunion giving chair, and member-at-large and president of the Alumni Association. During his time as association vice president and president from 2006 to 2010, the Alumni Council implemented multiple initiatives, including 100% Alumni Council participation in the Clarkson Fund, re-establishment and growth of a Homecoming tradition, and the inception, creation and implementation of the Alumni Gateway. In recognition of his commitment and leadership to his alma mater, Dibble received the Woodstock Award in 1996, the Charlie Ehrlich Admissions Award in 2010 and the Golden Knight Award in 2011. He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson and a M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Lehigh University. While a student at Clarkson, he was a member of the residence life staff, serving as a resident advisor and resident director. He is currently a senior manager of printed circuit engineering and operations at Lockheed Martin. Dibble resides in Endwell, N.Y., and has two daughters, Jessica and Melissa.

As a current University trustee, Castronova will serve as liaison between the Clarkson Fund and the Board of Trustees Institutional Advancement Committee. She serves on several University committees, including Trusteeship, Alumni, Student Affairs and Marketing. Prior to becoming a trustee, Castronova was a member of the Clarkson Alumni Council and served as an alumni admission volunteer for the Leadership and Achievement Mentor Program. In 2009, she received the Woodstock Award. She received a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Engineering & Management from Clarkson with a minor in professional communications. While at Clarkson, Castronova was a member of the women’s club ice hockey and soccer teams. She was also president of Delta Zeta sorority and a member of Phalanx Honor Society. She is currently president and owner of Novatek Communications Inc., a technical communications company that helps medical device manufacturers launch new medical devices, with content for documentation and learning. Castronova resides in Webster, N.Y.

The Clarkson Fund provides an immediate impact to today’s students through scholarships, financial aid, technology, laboratory equipment, athletics, and more – a critical component to Clarkson’s growth that is instantly gratifying!”

Together, their combined enthusiasm and commitment to their alma mater is unparalleled. What a winning combination!”
The Clarkson Fund, the University’s unrestricted annual giving program, provides opportunities for alumni to support their alma mater at all giving levels. Unrestricted gifts to the Clarkson Fund help provide necessary resources that make an immediate impact upon today’s students so that they can receive the best possible education. Last fiscal year (July 1, 2010-June 30, 2011), more than 5,000 alumni, parents and friends contributed more than $2.4 million – an all-time Clarkson Fund record!
